Exterior, Active Infrared Presence Sensor:
The Presence Sensor provides the ASPS™ with the
ability to know when a technician is in front of the fume hood.
The Active Infrared technology provides distinction between a
technicians and chairs or carts. The Presence Sensor is adjustable to allow for tight
viewing area, close to the sash, or full isle width.
Cable Cylinder:
A pneumatic Cable Cylinder provides a smooth constant force
fume hood sash movement (meets
ANSI/AIHA Z9.5-2003
with less than 10 lbs. of force). Precision flow control allows the ASPS to
open the fume hood sash quickly while closing the fume hood sash
slowly, safely.
Half Sash Switch:
A Rocker Switch mounted behind the sash allows the ASPS™ to repeatedly open the fume hood sash to your "Safe Working Height"
typically 12 to 18 inches.
ASPS™ Selector Switch (Auto Open - Push Button):
The Selector Switch allows the user to select whether the
ASPS automatically opens the sash when they arrive in front of
the fume hood or requires that the Push Button be activated in
order to minimize accidental openings of the fume hood sash.
Incorporated into the Selector Switch is an amber pilot light
that indicates when an object has stopped the closing of the
sash. Other optional Selector Switches allow for multiple
opening heights and totally manual operation of the fume hood
sash.
Cord Guides:
Cord Guides provide good fume hood house keeping, and to
ensure that the Interior Sash Eye does not accidentally pick up
any cords or tubes.
Push To Open Button:
With most ASPS system, Push-to-Open buttons are provided to
activate the opening of the fume hood sash and to reset the sash
after an object has been detected in the path of the fume hood
sash
Interior Sash Eye & Reflector Sash Object Detector:
The patented Interior Sash Eye detects objects in the path
of an automatically closing sash and when adjusted properly will
allow the ASPS to stop the fume hood sash before contacting the
object.(meets
ANSI/AIHA Z9.5-2003
obstruction sensing capable)
